Hulton House creates meaningful activities for inhabitants by taking a ‘whole home’ approach. Every member of staff, regardless of job title, is accountable for ensuring that all interactions with residents reflect their specific interests and preferences at all times. From how they prepare for the day, to their hobbies and interests, to how they enjoy their cuisine or remain in touch with relatives and friends, to how they prepare for their nighttime routine. The team believes that all of these elements should be important to the resident and the way they lived before moving into the home.
There is also a regular weekly programme of inclusive activities available, which includes themed events, trips out, visits from professional musicians and entertainers, guided walks around the gardens and to the local duck pond to feed the ducks, chair-based exercise classes, arts and crafts, baking, film nights, games on the Tovers (interactive table), and a trip out on the virtual car experience. Residents are also encouraged to use the pamper facility, which offers pedicures, manicures, massages, and hair cutting and styling.
